an instant-messenger evening in 2007. friends and strangers ping you, and some of those friends have been hijacked. every message needs a response.
BUDDY.EXE signs you in on a Friday night in 2007 with your away message set to song lyrics. messages pop in one at a time. a friend asks about saturday. a stranger sends a “picture” that’s really a screensaver. a friend’s account is clearly being run by someone else tonight. reply, accept the file, block, report or ignore. some messages have more than one right answer, and the scoring says so.
